Singing

Everyone can sing! Even if you don’t think you sound great, your toddler will think you’re wonderful. Make your singing fun. Try:

  • Using an exaggerated voice
  • Using facial expressions
  • Using actions

Songs that are best for your toddler are short and a have a lot of repetition. Repetition helps your toddler remember what they have heard.

Singing can happen at any time of the day. Try while:

  • Bathing
  • Dressing
  • In the car

A regular song can be useful for encouraging your toddler to know what’s expected of them. You could try a song when its time for:

  • Putting away toys
  • Brushing teeth
  • Combing hair
  • Bedtime
