Further information

There are many things that you can do now to help your baby get off to a good start and establish patterns for life-long learning by having a stronger start at school.

Your baby’s brain is “wired” to learn. Babies are born with a certain number of brain cells, called neurons. Neurons don’t increase in number after birth, but the number of connections, called synapses, do.

The synapses grow when a baby has different experiences.
